Result lifecycle
A result is more than a value.
bLIS records how each result moves through entry, validation, and finalization. Manual and instrument results follow the same configured path before they appear on a report.

- Capture numeric, text, free-text, and HLA results. bLIS records who entered the value and when.
- Validation
- The checkpoint where a result is confirmed—through the validation configured for the test, including independent double entry where the workflow requires it.
- Finalization
- bLIS finalizes a result automatically once it is validated and any dependent reflex testing is resolved. Only a final result is reportable.
